Agnes I2002, 133 x 128 cm
This piece is inspired by the work of Agnes Martin. Her paintings are of a fascinating simplicity and are compelling in an almost undescribable way. I tried to translate this character and feeling in my piece. The challenge was to create a monochrom surface that would nevertheless be interesting and lively.
