Retreat

Kar­tause It­tin­gen is a for­mer Carthu­sian monastery in the mu­nic­i­pal­i­ty of Warth-Weinin­gen, near Frauen­feld, imbed­ded in the beau­ti­full Thur­gau coun­try­side. Nowa­days, it is a unique cul­ture and sem­i­nar cen­ter.

Kar­tause It­tin­gen of­fers two for­mer monks’ cells to artists, writ­ers and aca­d­e­mics for silent pur­suits.

In Oc­to­ber of this year, I had the priv­i­lege to spend four won­der­full weeks in the stu­dio cell.
