100 ... collected

In the chrono­log­i­cal pieces Dai­ly Walk­ing 3 and Dai­ly Walk­ing 4, I had tak­en 100 pho­tos of the ground be­neath my feet (earth) and 100 pho­tos of the sky above my head (air). On­ly the el­e­ments wa­ter and fire were miss­ing. But, I could not ex­pect to find one of these el­e­ments every day, so it was not pos­si­ble to make  chrono­log­i­cal pieces with this theme. I came up with the idea that for cer­tain top­ics, I would col­lect pho­tos over an un­lim­it­ed pe­ri­od of time, when­ev­er there was an op­por­tu­ni­ty, un­til I had 100 of them. These were then as­sem­bled, not in a chrono­log­i­cal but in a de­signed or­der to cre­ate a piece.

Over time, I ex­pandend the con­cept from pho­tographs to found ob­jects (ob­jets trou­vés) and to words, of which I al­so col­lect­ed 100 be­fore com­bin­ing them in­to one piece.
