This se­ries start­ed with the quilt All­t­ag (Every­day Life). It was the col­or and tex­ture of the ma­te­r­i­al, floor rags and so called "col­or-catch" tow­els, that first fas­ci­nat­ed me. Work­ing on the quilt, I be­gan to re­flect on the un­sus­pect­ed beau­ty in­her­ent to ma­te­ri­als used in such drab dai­ly ac­tiv­i­ties as house­clean­ing and laun­dry.

En­ticed by these thoughts, I de­cid­ed to ex­plore oth­er "dai­ly" ma­te­ri­als and dai­ly oc­cur­rences. This led to an on­go­ing se­ries of quilts on the theme of ma­te­ri­als used in every­day life, seem­ing­ly mo­not­o­nous rep­e­ti­tions, thoughts and ac­tions that fill our days.
