Daily Dream Time2019, 41 x 78 cm
During my walks in Zurich (Switzerland) and Evanston (USA) I collected 100 photos of words I saw on advertising posters, street signs, signposts, etc.) that had caught my attention for some reason or another (the meaning, the color, the typography...).
The words were grouped by language and assembled to short, sometimes absurd, sentences and sewn together to form long ribbons.
The piece can be hung on the wall or stand-alone (see second detail photo). Each ribbon can be rotated separately to display other words, or exchanged to alter the language order. In the stand-alone version it is also possible to vary the width of the piece.
A new play with words again and again.
