Dur­ing my walks in Zurich (Switzer­land) and Evanston (USA) I col­lect­ed 100 pho­tos of words I saw on ad­ver­tis­ing posters, street signs, sign­posts, etc.) that had caught my at­ten­tion for some rea­son or an­oth­er (the mean­ing, the col­or, the ty­pog­ra­phy...).

The words were grouped by lan­guage and  as­sem­bled to short, some­times  ab­surd, sen­tences and sewn to­geth­er to form  long rib­bons.
The piece can be hung on the wall or stand-alone (see sec­ond de­tail pho­to). Each rib­bon can be  ro­tat­ed sep­a­rate­ly to dis­play oth­er words, or ex­changed to al­ter the lan­guage or­der. In the stand-alone ver­sion it is al­so pos­si­ble to vary the width of the piece.
