Com­mis­sion. The client was fas­ci­nat­ed by the last, un­com­plet­ed paint­ing "Vic­toy Boo­gie-Woo­gie" of Piet Mon­dri­an and want­ed a piece that would re­mind him of this paint­ing. He was es­pe­cial­ly en­thralled by its brisk­ness and dy­nam­ics, as well as the dif­fer­ence in com­par­i­son to ear­li­er works of Mon­dri­an and there­fore these char­ac­ter­is­tics were to be at the base of the piece as well. A walk be­tween in­ter­pre­ta­tion and cre­ation.
