Initially to "walk about" was an initiation rite for young Australian aborigines leading them on extended walks in the desert following the trail of their history and ancestors. Nowadays, aborigines still go "walk about" every now and then as an occasional interruption of their everyday work.
The color and shapes on the fabric sparked associations to this tradition. It is a fascinating concept to have the inner freedom to pack your gear and go on a search of yourself whenever you feel like it.
