ONE WAYA child's chalk drawing on a pavement was the inspiration for this work. I immediately saw what I wanted the piece to look like and what materials I wanted to use. In the end not everything remained the way I saw it in this first "flash", but basically the piece is the result of this instant inspiration. I was attracted by this path drawn on the ground and thus the work is also a reflection on the ways we choose to go in our life and how our decisions are always only one way to go among many possibilities. We can always decide to go another way and we will never know where the way we did not go would have taken us.
