BLACK MOONThis quilt was in­spired by a com­pe­ti­tion theme: "Art Takes Shape". The de­scrip­tion of the theme read: "Quilt art can be de­fined as the prod­uct of cre­ativ­i­ty re­flect­ed through shape and form (...) Let your cre­ativ­i­ty take shape". The word "shape" im­me­di­at­ly brought as­so­ci­a­tions with cir­cles and squares and I had this piece of dis­charged fab­ric that had been wait­ing for a suit­able idea to be used. Based on these el­e­ments, the quilt was de­vel­oped through a to­tal­ly in­tu­itive process.
