Shadow Alchemy2017, 106 x 230 cm

For this piece I col­lect­ed, dur­ing my dai­ly walks, 100 pic­tures of shad­ows which were then processed in­to a work of art ac­cord­ing to a mul­ti-step process con­sist­ing of com­put­er pro­cess­ing, post-edit­ing by hand, print­ing, us­ing cyan­otype tech­nique on fab­ric and even­tu­al­ly quilt­ing. Thus, the in­di­vid­ual ephemer­al dark shad­ows on the ground are gath­ered in­to a crowd of per­ma­nent lu­mi­nous white shad­ows on the fab­ric.
